SENATOR KOLA BAJOMO MOURNS THE DEMISE OF CHIEF MICHAEL OGUNDIMU, SAYS YEWALAND HAS LOST A PILLAR OF SUPPORT

Distinguished Senator Kola Bajomo has expressed deep shock over the passing of Chief Michael Ogundimu, the Head of the Onibata Dynasty of Ago Ishaga-Pahayi, Ilaro, who passed on to glory at the age of 85.

The late elder, fondly called “Baba Yayi”, was a compassionate community leader, a revered family patriarch, and a custodian of Ogundimu family's custom and tradition. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to the service of humanity, the promotion of peace, and the socio-economic progress of his people.

In a condolence message, Senator Bajomo described the transition of the octogenarian as a monumental loss not only to the Ogundimu family and the people of Ago Ishaga-Pahayi, but also to Ilaro, Yewaland, and Ogun West Senatorial District as a whole.

“Baba Ogundimu belonged to that noble generation of elders whose wisdom, counsel, and unwavering commitment to communal values provided direction, stability, and unity to our communities. His door was always open, his advice was always sound, and his love for his people was unmatched,” the Senator stated.

Senator Bajomo further noted that the late Chief was a pillar of support to both traditional and political institutions, and his legacies of humility, courage and service will continue to inspire generations.

While extending his heartfelt condolences to the Onibata Dynasty, the entire Ogundimu family, the people of Pahayi, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, and the people of Yewaland, Senator Bajomo prayed that Almighty God grants the departed eternal rest and gives the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“We pray that Baba’s soul rests in perfect peace, and that God continues to bless and preserve the legacy he left behind,” he added.
