Yayi Mega Empowerment Programme: What A Time To Be Alive In Ogun West - Kehinde Akinlade
It was at a stakeholders meeting held at the headquarters of Ogun West Senatorial District shortly after he emerged as APC Ogun West Senate seat flagbearer that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi broke the news of a coming empowerment programme for the good people of Ogun West. The capacity building and empowerment programme he said would be for 6000 Ogun Westerners.
The figure mentioned was unbelievable at the time in the context of Ogun West. Never had a political representative, voted for by Ogun Westerners empowered such a number before with marketable skill and right tools thereby making them self reliant. Not even in the whole of a term. To believe a man that is yet to owe them a single vote making a promise of empowerment for six thousands (6000) people was hard. Many that have seen the democratic deliveries of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi in Lagos West believed him. As a matter of fact, it was because of democratic dividends like the one he promised at during the Ilaro meeting that made them called on him to return to Ogun West to replicate his quality representation for the people of Lagos West in Ogun West.
Fast forward to November 2022, 21st of November to be precise, Agunloye Pavilion, Empire Ground, Ilaro Ogun West, the same ground where he made the promise hosted 3000 Ogun Westerners who were lucky to be chosen as part of the first phase of the Yayi Capacity Building And Empowerment Programme. Talk of making promises and fulfilling them. They all went home full of joy as proud owners of quality tools relevant to the skill they have acquired. With office holder/candidate for political office like Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, any PVC holder would want to go to polling booths to gladly to cast vote in an election.
At the dusk of the 21st day of the eleventh month of the year 2022, Ogun West, 3000 males and females of active age have become self employed having marketable skill and brand new equipments to begin to exchange their acquired skills for money, thereby leaving the realm of barely existing to begin to be living the life they had wanted courtesy of the candidate of APC for the seat of Ogun West Senate in the next general elections.
The Yayi mega capacity building and empowerment programme means that 3000 people were lifted above poverty line with the potential of each and everyone of them becoming employers of labour (other Ogun Westerners) and trainers of other Ogun Westerners to become artisans, earning money to keep body and souls together. The Yayi empowerment means that 3000 Ogun Westerners are now off the streets and are gainful employed. What a multiplier effect. The big news is that the Ogun West Mega Empowerment Programme held in Ilaro is the phase one. Soon, another 3000 Ogun Westerners will be called up for capacity building leading to empowerment.
Investigation revealed that many of the beneficiaries are youths that have acquired vocational skills years back whose parents could not afford to buy them the tools needed for the practice of the vocation they learned. Then came Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, prayer answered, parents are smiling, their children are happy. Youths unemployment in Ogun West declined, gainful employment appreciated. Talking about Yayi's positive impact and life changing effect.
There is no doubt that the candidate of APC in the coming general elections for Ogun West Senatorial seat, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has gained 3000 more believers in his cause for Ogun West which is quality representation, quality yield from political mandate, people first representation. He has gained along with the 3000 direct beneficiaries, eyes witnesses of the mega capacity building and empowerment who have never seen such a massive giving back to the electorates and would be electorates in Ogun West before and now believe that since Ogun West now has Yayi, it can be their turn if the Senator is returned to the Red chamber this time for the people of Ogun West. This is in addition to the relations of the beneficiaries, parents in particular who had been hoping for miracles to be able to buy the kind of tools Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi facilitated for their sons and daughters.
Congratulations to the people of Ogun West who are beneficiaries of the Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi facilitated mega empowerment programme, congratulations to all the good people of Ogun West for having the Aremo of Yewaland back with them to replicate quality political representation he his is known for in Lagos State in Ogun West.
