OBA OLUGBENLE TURNS 56, GIVES GLORY TO GOD FOR UNENDING GRACE

The Paramount Ruler of Yewa Land

The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR turns 56 this Sunday, 4th December, 2022.

Although sources from the palace indicate that there are no special programmes lined up for the day, different groups, individuals and well-wishers have put in place low-key activities and special prayers to felicitate the highly revered monarch on this special occasion.

Oba Olugbenle noted that God had granted him the grace to celebrate his 10th Coronation Anniversary earlier in the year with pomp and pageantry among other celebrations in the year and therefore he has resolved to use the occasion of his 56th birthday to joyfully count his blessings and give glory to God for unending grace received, not only in the year 2022 but also across the 56 glorious years of his life.

Kabiyesi was born as a twins, along with his brother, Taiwo on Sunday, 4th December 1966 into the Asade Agunloye Ruling House of Ilaro.

Since April 2012 when Oba Olugbenle ascended the throne, he has proved his mettle as a worthy leader of his people, protecting and promoting their socio-cultural heritage with uncommon vision, passion and panache. Not only has Kabiyesi justified the confidence reposed in him by the people of Ilaro, in particular, and the people of Yewaland, in general, he has also made himself a source of pride to Yewa people, home and abroad.

His reign in the last ten and a half years has brought about peace, unity, progress and phenomenal growth in infrastructural facilities most of which have either been directly funded by Oba Olugbenle or indirectly facilitated through him and his well-wishers.  In all these, he had clearly led his people with the fair of God and love to mankind, in line with his royal motto; “Oba bi Olorun ko si” (No king as God).

At the Grandfinale of the 2022 Oronna-Ilaro Festival held recently, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, fondly described Oba Olugbenle as a man with vision, a man of good character, integrity, humility and fear of God.

As Oba Kehinde Olugbenle marks his birthday this year, his brother Obas, Chiefs and people of Yewaland; as well as his well-wishers all over the world proudly celebrate him and commit him to the hands of Almighty God to uphold him and grant him long life, sustained prosperity, good health and continued abundant grace.

Signed:
Omooba Femi Dokunmu.
