APC Yewa North inaugurates local government election campaign committees

Preparatory to the forth coming Local Government election in Ogun State and leaving no stone unturn in achieving total victory, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yewa North Local Government Area has inaugurated its Campaign Committees. Highlight of the event which kickstarts campaign activities for the November 16 local government election was the official presentation of APC party flag to the flagbearers by the leadership duo of Chief Olu Agemo and and Chief Bisiriyu Popoola to the chairmanship candidate, his vice and the candidates for councillorship positions. Also, members of the different committees that will work to see APC coming out victorious in the election were presented with their letters of appointment. IGBOGILA STAKEHOLDERS ENDS INTERNAL RIFT, SETTLES FOR PEACE

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela once posited that “Peace is not just the absence of conflict; peace is the creation of an environment where all can flourish regardless of race, colour, creed, religion, gender, class, caste or any other social markers of difference.” It was on this premise that all the people that matters in Igbogila Yewa gathered on Saturday 5th October 2024 to make peace among the warring parties. The peace and reconciliation meeting was championed by the Igbogila Stakeholders Development Forum and was well attended by the traditional, political and religious leaders of the town with an attempt to put an end to internal wrangling which has been bedeviling the town for years.   The genesis of the rift could be traced to the controversial suspension of some Chiefs, instituting of court case/court order and probe of the traditional council’s financial records.
