THE BIRTH OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, ILARO; ANOTHER MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, SENATOR YAYI DESERVES LOUD APPLAUD



The news of the assent of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to the bill upgrading Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to Federal University of Technology, Ilaro is another milestone achievement in the inclusive approach of the President to governance.


I join the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District, the immediate beneficiaries of Federal University of Technology, Ilaro and all lovers of education in Nigeria to thank Mr. President for making University education more accessible to Nigerians by this upgrade. 


It is significant to note that under the current federal government,  infrastructural development across Nigeria is receiving priority attention with Ogun West Senatorial District not being left behind.


In the same vein, I want to specially appreciate the sponsor of this historic bill; Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI and other members of the National Assembly especially those fron Ogun West Senatorial District who supported the passage of the bill before it received the assent of Mr. President. 


I congratulate the people of Ogun West and our traditional rulers especially the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle MFR for this new addition to the educational development of the land.

Barrister Titi Fagbote, Àyọ̀ká Ọmọ Ayétòrò, warmly hosted friends, family, and well-wishers at the 2025 Ayetoro Yewa Day, held on November 8, 2025. The event was a vibrant celebration of culture, unity, and community, bringing together Ayetoro indigenes from around the world. Being hailed from Ìdòfòí, Àyọ̀ká Ọmọ Ayétòrò, as she's fondly called, kicked off the festivities by paying a courtesy visit to the Onidofoi of Idofoi, HRH Oba Ajani Olatunji Abioro, where she received a warm welcome and royal blessings. SENATOR KOLA BAJOMO MOURNS THE DEMISE OF CHIEF MICHAEL OGUNDIMU, SAYS YEWALAND HAS LOST A PILLAR OF SUPPORT

Distinguished Senator Kola Bajomo has expressed deep shock over the passing of Chief Michael Ogundimu, the Head of the Onibata Dynasty of Ago Ishaga-Pahayi, Ilaro, who passed on to glory at the age of 85. The late elder, fondly called “Baba Yayi”, was a compassionate community leader, a revered family patriarch, and a custodian of Ogundimu family's custom and tradition. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to the service of humanity, the promotion of peace, and the socio-economic progress of his people.
